Confidentiality stands as a fundamental principle in therapy, safeguarding the privacy of your personal information and discussions. Exceptions to this rule are rare and are limited to specific legal and ethical circumstances, which will be thoroughly discussed during our initial session. 

 

How long will therapy last? 

Therapy is a personalized process tailored to meet your individual needs, involving the exploration of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors under professional guidance. The duration of therapy varies based on factors such as the complexity of your concerns and personal objectives. While some individuals experience improvements within a few sessions, others may engage in longer-term therapy. 

 

How should I prepare for my initial session?

 To prepare for your first session, ensure that any required intake forms provided through the client portal are completed. Consider jotting down specific issues or goals you wish to address. Arriving a few minutes early allows for a smooth transition into the session, emphasizing that this is a space for you to freely explore and express yourself.

 

What should I expect during my first session?

Your initial session is designed to be a comfortable and informative experience. Prior to our meeting, you will receive access to a secure client portal to complete necessary forms, enabling us to delve directly into understanding your needs. We will discuss your current challenges and delve into your history to create a tailored treatment plan aligned with your goals, ensuring a collaborative approach tailored to your unique circumstances. 

 

How do I know if therapy is working?

 Progress in therapy is assessed through ongoing dialogue and the evaluation of your symptoms, behaviors, and overall well-being. Clear goals are established at the outset and periodically reviewed to ensure that therapy is meeting your needs and producing the desired impact. 

 

Can I voluntarily discontinue therapy?

Therapy is a voluntary process, and you retain the right to discontinue it at any time. If you choose to end therapy, it is beneficial to discuss this decision during a session to ensure a proper conclusion and explore any recommendations for future care if necessary. 

 

How do you ensure my information is secure?

 We prioritize your privacy and security by utilizing HIPAA-compliant technology platforms for communication and documentation, ensuring the protection of your sensitive health information in accordance with federal regulations. 

 

What is your missed appointment/late cancellation policy?

To uphold a respectful and efficient practice, we require a 48-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Missed sessions or late cancellations will incur the full appointment fee. For intake appointments, a credit card is kept on file and charged on the day of service for your convenience. 

 

Will the price of my sessions change? 

While we strive to maintain stable fees, adjustments may occur due to factors such as inflation. Existing clients will receive a minimum of a 30-day notice before any rate changes are implemented. 

 

What are your fees?

therapy session rates range from $175 to $225 for a standard 50-minute session, reflecting various services or specialized treatments that may be offered. During our initial consultation, we will discuss the appropriate rate for your individualized therapy plan. Payment is due at the time of service and can be made using cash, check, credit/debit cards, health savings accounts (HSAs), or flexible spending accounts (FSAs). 

 

Do you accept insurance? 

 am in-network with several insurance providers, including Optum/United Healthcare, Aetna, Tricare, and Tri West. For clients with out-of-network benefits, I am available to assist in understanding your coverage. Additionally, a superbill can be provided for submission to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, although reimbursement is not guaranteed. It is advisable to verify your insurance coverage for therapy services with your provider.

This estimate enables you to make informed decisions about your care and comprehend potential financial responsibilities before services are rendered, as mandated by the No Surprises Act for uninsured and self-pay clients.
